Historical Background
Kashmar province which mentioned to it in old documents as Tarsis, according to archeologist researches this region used to be inhabitant in 1000 or 2000 years B.C. according to Beyhaghie's History and Epistolary of kings the prophet Zarathustri met Goshtasb and built the fire temple in this region 2500 years ago. Kashmar use to a part of Sasanian and parts emperor. Kashmar defeated from Arabs in 31 Hijri and after that Saljoghid, Ismaillid, Kharazmshahid, Ilkhanid, Teymorid, Safavid, Afsharid and ghajarid dynasties governed in this region one after the other.

Natural refrigerator of Bandghara
7 kilometers far from Bandghara village there is a unique and magnificent natural refrigerator which is ice full all the year. Before that electricity come to this village not far ago people of this area supplied their ice from this natural refrigerator.

Natural Geography of Kashmar
Kashmar province is consisting of two parts, one is Markazi and the other is Kohsorkh. It takes the 3390sqms of Khorasan Razavi state. This province is limited to Khalilabad from west, from north and North West to Neyshabour, Sabzevar and Bardaskan. From east and north east to Torbat Heydareyeh and from south and south west it is limited to Gonabad. We have two different kinds of area in this province, one is mountains part in north by the name of Kohsorkh and the other is Faghaun and Bajestaun mountains in south. We also have a dry and deserted area in west and south of a fertile land near the suburb of Ghasbut. The climate in this region is dry.

Ruins of old citadel of city
Two centuries ago Torshiz used to keep its residents safe from attacks. Although nothing special is remained from that magnificent building but the ruins recall us the glorious days of this building. It is located in northwestern part of central square of Kashmar .

Forotaghe Ice-Box
It is located on the way of the village with the same name. we consider this icebox as the biggest icebox of Kashmar, which was built during Ghajarid period. |

Seyed Morteza's natural park
Beside the holly tomb of Imam Ibrahim there is a beautiful natural park, which attracts lots of people each year. The improvement map of this tomb is consists of pilgrims motels, restaurants, playground and bazaar. |

Campus area of Kashmar's Kohsorkh
Because of changeable heights of this area we have variety of climates and plant coverage. We can mention to some of herbals of this area like Rebus, Catira, Kharshotor and Avishan. We also have vast gardens of amygdales in this area. The animals are also a lot in this area like sable, puma, eagle, and pigeon. |

Hajj Kazem Modaresi's caravansary
It is located in Modares Street and belongs to Pahlavi's period. It is a trading center with more than 12 cloisters. It has 3000sqms. Some of its cloisters are face to the street. |

Gabr Hesar castle
The ruins of Gabr Hesar are located in north east of Khezer Beyk village 27 kilometers far from North West of Rivash. According to documents this place was used from second century of Hijri till 5 th century of Hijri. |

Daroneh hunting prohibited area
With 6000sqms expansion it is located in western part of Kashmar. The face of this area is mountainous-pasture and desert like. The plant coverage of this area is consists of Boomadaran, wild fig and amygdales. We also have animals like different types of goats. Because of valuable animals of this area the hunting is prohibited in this area. |

Tomb of Imam Seyed Morteza
It is located 5 kilometers far from north part of Kashmar and according to people believes this Imam is the brother of Seyed Hamzeh and Imam Reza. According to old historical documents he was killed by Omavid rollers and buried in this place. The main part of this tomb is consists of one entrance portico, with two minarets in sides and a turquoise dome above it. This building was built by blessed dedicator Mr.Fathie in 1399 A.D. |

Baghmazar (Tomb of Imam Seyed Hamzeh)
The tomb is consists of porches, porticos, and dome house. It is the burial place of Seyed Hamzeh Mossa-ebn-Jafar. According to documents this tomb was built during Safavid period and till now some parts and decorations are added to it. The tile works and mirror decorations are added to this building in 1399A.H. |

Comprehensive mosque of Kashmar
It built in 1213 Hijri during the govering of Abdolali khan and Mostafa Meish at the time of Fathali Khan Ghajar Kingdome in the central part of Kashmar. This mosque is consisting of the simple building, portico, porch, columned night chamber, cloisters in both sides and courtyard. Around the courtyard of mosque are few bricked cloisters and in its southern corner we can see a moqarnas decoration, which located in columned night chamber. The altar of this mosque is tiled. |

Kariz warm mineral water
This natural phenomenon is located beside the paved road Kariz to Rivash 154 kilometers far from Shahrivash and 3 kilometers far from Kariz village. Beside this area there are lots of cool springs and rivers. According to scientists researches the water of this area is better than Ferdos warm water. The water of this area has lots of medical effect. |

Religious school of Sultan-al-Olama
It is located in Imam Khomeini Street . It is built in 1330 Hejri Ghamari. It consists of central courtyard that is surrounded from four sides by cloisters in two floors between two northern and southern porticos. With more than forty rooms for teaching, kitchen and southern and western porticos we consider it as the biggest school in Kashmar. |

Souvenirs of Kashmar
We can consider some of these traditional products as souvenirs of Kashmar. But among all these product raisins are very popular and famous in this region and farmers of Kashmar export their raisins to all parts of Iran and it consider as the most wanted souvenir of Kashmar. |
Seyed Hasan Modares tomb
This glorious tomb,which has the holly body of Seyed Hasan Modares in itself, used to be a small tomb in the middle of the garden. This tomb was built in 1363 A.D.Hasan Modares was one of the greatest politicians and clergyman of Iran born in Ardestan in 1278 A.D.He moved to Tehran in 1328 and become the candidate of people in second congress. In 1307 he first exiled to Khuf and then to Kashmar. He finally martyred in 1316 A.D. this building is consist of central dome house, for porticos and turquoise dome. The architectural style of this tomb belongs to Safavid period.

Handy crafts and traditional jobs
Like other provinces of Khorasan Razavi state we have some traditional arts which we consider them as the souvenir of this area. Colorful rugs, carpets and hand made clothes of this area are very famous.
