Neyshabour (Khorasan Razavi)
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF NEYSHABOUR
The exact time of appearance of this city is not clear but according to historical documents this city had a great financial and artistic- cultural in 3 thousand years before birth of jesses Christ. Mythological stories describe that the first person who built NEYSHABOUR castle was Anoosh-ebn-e sheys-ebn-e-Adam and Iraj-ebn-e-Afreydoon added more buildings to it and finally Manochehr dug a huddle around it. Muslims conquered NEYSHABOUR in 31 hejri and in early beginnings of 3rd century of hejri became a capital for Taherian government. This city repeatedly attacked during 248 and 618 hejri and never achieved its glorious days. During Ilkhanian period a new city built on the ruins of this city but it destroyed by an earthquake . |

Khayyam Museum
Hakim Abolfath Omar-ebn-Ibrahim so called Khayyam-e-Neyshabouri , mathematician, astronomer ,poet and a great Iranian thinker is very famous in the world of science and art. Born in 439 Hejri in Neyshabour and buried in heyrah in 515 hejri. Today this place is located in east of Neyshabour. The monument of this great man is built upon Hoshang Seyhoon's map. This building shaped by iron and decorated by tiles.

GEOGRAPHICAL AND NATURAL SITUATION OF NEYSHABOUR
NEYSHABOUR is located on the vast pasture in north part of khorasan razavi. This area is restricted from north to chenaran and Ghochan, from east to mashhad. From north to Torbat_heydarie and kashmar and from west to Sabzevar. This state has 8722sqms which contain two cities, 5 districts and 15 villages. The population of this city (NEYSHABOUR ) according to the last estimation on 1375 is 399287.

Museum of neyshabour
This museum opened in 1374shamsi. it contains archaeological and special part for hosting tourists. Among items that we have in this museum we can mention coins and clay plates which belong to Islamic period, samples of culture of people; glass dishes, grave stones and the model of old Neyshabour is some other examples of this museum. |

Tomb of Attar
Well known scientist and poet of Iran lived in 540 Hijri. He wrote lots of books that we can mention to some of them in here: Mantegh-o-Teyr, Ellahi Name and Tazkaretol Oleya. He died in Mongolians attack in 618 Hijri. Saeid Ghazie-ol-ghozat was the first builder of his tomb. |

It is located in east of neyshabour. In the past it was called "AL-HAMRA" and the exact location of it is in Silk Road . The importance of this place is because of emam reza stopped in this place during his holly journey from medina to Marv. The name of this place is taken from a black stone which is |
famous for emam reza's footprint on it.Probably this building is deconstructed during king Abbas and completed by king Soleiman in 1901 Hejri. Besides this building there is a spring which pilgrims consider it as holly water.

Kharv Oliya village
It is located in east of neyshabour, beside a road to mashhad.This village has a green valley with different kinds of trees and also there is a waterfall in this village. Lots of peopleKharv-village in neyshabour use this area as a place for resting in summer. |

Comprehensive mosque
It was built during Teymorian in 889 Hejri by Pahlevan Ali Karkhi. It is located in neyshabour. It is a kind of 4 porches mosque. It decorated by bricks and we know this building as an old building in neyshabour. |

Ruins of old city of neyshabour
In the south east part of neyshabour we can see lots of ancient hills by the names of Kohandej, Alparsalan, Sabzpooshun, Shadyakh, Tape Madrese, Bazzar, Qanut Tappe and Tappe Takestun. Archeological discoveries in these hills can show us the fertility of this city from beginning of Islamic period up to 7 th century. |

Shahmir domes
10 kilometer far from south of Neyshabour among an old cemetery there are two buildings with the same shape and distance from each other, they called Mehrava,Mehrabad and Shadmehr. We can find architectural elements of Saljogheyan and Ilkhaneyan period. Maybe they are monuments for two famous person but we did not know them. |

Shadyakh historical area
In 205 Hejri, Neyshabour became a capital of Taherian government and that time lots of buildings built for the troops. From that time this city becomes a center of power for Khorasan and a place for kings and princes till Mongolian attack which destroyed everything. Shadyakh is in the southeast of attar temple with more than 200000sqms. From 1378 lots of analogical researches happened there and changed this place to a site-museum for Khorasan Razavi. |

Garden and house of Amin-ol-Eslami
This beautiful garden-house belonged to blessed Abolhassan Amin-ol-Eslami; is located in Imam Khomeini Street beside the national park. The building of this garden is 1300sqms with two floor and places like central hall, rooms, reservoir and columns. In the garden of this building we have different types of trees. This garden built during Pahlavi period and it considered as a good example for an original Iranian garden. |

Dizbad village
It is located in east of Neyshabour, 30 kilometer far from it beside the road to Mashhad . This mountains village has a fair weather and lots of plants. The religion of people in this village is Ismaile and every summer they hold a ceremony according to their religion. |

Emamzade Mohammad Mahrogh & Emamzade Ebrahim
On the other part of Khayyam temple, there is a religious building with magnificent tiles, which observe people's attention. This place is a grave of Emamzade Mahrogh, one of the ancestors of Emam Sajad and also Emamzade Ebrahim the ancestor of Emam Kazem. This building contains one porch, two central building, mosque and a hall which built during Safavid period. |

Traditional bazaar and regional career
Neyshabour is one of the fewest cities in Khorasan that we have bazaar from safavieye period in it. It is located in Imam Street and it has lots of stores and charoghes. We can see different jobs in this bazaar like coopers, metalworking and carpet weaving. We can mention to another bazaar in Neyshabour like heamarkets, Ferdowsi bazaar, Naserani passage and so on…. |
Handy craft of neyshabour
According to discovered sapphire in borj hill 5500 years ago shaping sapphires is an old job in neyshabour. We have different types of sapphires like Arabic shajori, shervan, ajami (the best one), tokhal and chaghole. Sapphires mostly are used for rings and medallions. The mythological plant of rivas which grows in spring is another famous product of Neyshabour. |
